For the fourth year running the BPEX regional roadshows, have now come to a close. The new set of dates will be out within the next few months, and will start in September 2009. Butchers can enter products into 12 product categories including; sausages, bacon, pies, ready meals, faggots, black pudding and meatballs. The products get evaluated by a team of industry experts and points are given for a range of attributes, among them are appearance, consistency, texture, taste and smell. Any awards gained are presented on the night so that butchers can promote their achievements straight away.
